So much to do, so little time

So my order count has just increased by 11 items today! Which more than doubles my special order list. But no worries, no one is in a huge hurry, I was just planning on making Christmas gifts for all of the family, but that will be put on hold for a while. I swear I will start on Christmas gifts on Decemeber 26 this year! Ha ha ha!
I did manage to find time to test a pattern for djonesgirl on craftster.org.

I think this is one of the cutest ideas I have seen in a while. It is a small bear with no arms, and you crochet the bear and then you crochet numerous little outfits for it, but the arms are attached to the outfits so little girls can easily play dress up with it. And the neck of the outfit is crocheted around a ponytail holder so that it stretches to fit the bear. It is so cute and everyone I've showed it to thought it was a super cute idea!

So onto the show part of the show and tell

I believe the pattern is available on etsy.com.

Market Day

Okay, so today was Market Day at the community center and I had told my hubby I was taking the rest of the summer off from Market Day to restock and catch my breath, well....

My friend asked me to please come and just bring whatever I had so we could chat and so off to Market Day I went.

So glad I went. It appears everyone is back from summer vacation and I actually sold about half my stock and also got 6 special orders. Plus yesterday I got special orders for Christmas gifts. I am gonna be a busy busy beav!!

I am also in the process of testing a crochet pattern for someone and will display the finished product here in about a week. :)

My biggest special order was 2 baby quilts, which I am excited about because I haven't been quilting in a while.

I have to go, monkey is into my yarn cabinet! Go figure!

How to get a new computer desk & organized craft room

Here's how to get a new desk and more storage in your craft room. Your husband decides he needs to rearrange your computer/craft room and in the process BREAKS your computer desk. So now you have no desk, he then realizes that in order to rearrange the room properly you need a cabinet to store more craft goodies!!!

So basically all you have to do is let your husband loose on your stuff and hope he breaks something! Ha ha ha

I told him I was wanting him to use some of my other things so I could get new ones!! He was slightly amused! :) Not as much as I was though!

This post is old and I forgot to post it MONTHS ago, but I thought it was kinda funny. :) True story too! LOL

The Office

So, The Office is my absolute favorite show and I found a partner to personal swap with and she loves the show too!!! So here is what I made for her....sewnikki if you are reading this ...DON'T!!! Or you will see all your goodies! Oh she also loves cats and pink & black together.

Here we go!

I hand stenciled quilt squares of Office quotes and characters. I cut all of the stencils out of contact paper and then used a sponge brush and fabric paint to transfer the images onto the quilt fabric. I used the skull/tatto fabric because that is something my partner likes and I couldn't find the fabric I wanted to use (paper clips or office related prints).

The entire quilt

Some of the individual squares:

And a slightly obese amigurumi of Dwight Kurt Schrute. He comes complete with short sleeved shirt, ugly tie, nerdy watch, glasses, a beet and a briefcase.

But wait, what is this in his briefcase? A sexual predator flyer, a bobblehead, a Schrute buck and his ridiculously LARGE security threat office name badge/pass!!!

Check him out!!!!

I also made her a punk pink & black kitty.

Gratuitous kitty butt!!!!AAAhhhhh!!!

And a small girly, but fierce ninja!

And that is part of what I have been working lately. I have been a busy beav!

Meeting Jack Bauer (in Okinawa)

So tonight was girls night out. The usual, Cocok's (pedicures) and dinner, or so we thought. Little did we know we would meet the famous Jack Bauer in Okinawa, of all places!

As we sat down to dinner, I noticed a table of drunken locals right behind a small seperation. Ordering bottles of sake. So, around the partition peeks a drunken guy, and he smiles and says, "Hi, Sorry! Sorry!". His friend also keeps repeating "sorry" , and telling him in Japanese to stop it.

So a little later, we hear all of this laughing coming from behind us, and realize that Mr. Peek-around the partition, has taken off his shirt and is proceding to unbuckle his belt! I was laughing so hard I almost fell over!! So his friend, again, peeks over and says "Sorry, sorry, sorry!" And proceeded to direct him to redress himself.

By this time we are all laughing so hard tears are streaming from our eyes! So a little more time passes and he peeks around and asks "How old?" So Jenn tells him 28, and his friend tells us that he is 45. Mr. Drunk and friendly then says "No, no, no, I'm 39!" And his friend laughs and says "No!".

So then he tells us his name is "Matsuko?" and then he says "I'm Jack Bauer". This is the point where I couldn't stop laughing! So we keep calling him "Jack Bauer" and he is hamming it up! So I asked Amanda for her camera and snapped a bunch of pics and took a video of our encounter with "Jack Bauer".

So now we will never forget the night we all met "Jack Bauer" in Okinawa!!

New stuff for my etsy shop

I have really taken a liking to my new sewing machine. I got it in Feb of this year, cause my old one crapped out. But it has tons of stitches and sews through layers very nicely. So I have been able to sew more, and it has been enjoyable. My old machine used to bunch up stitches on the underside of anything I was sewing and get jammed and all kinds of other lovely things! :P

Anyway, about a month ago I ordered some keyfob hardware. My main intention was to make a going away present for my friend, which was to consist of a purse, matching zipper pouch and keyfob. So after I made hers, I wanted a keyfob too. And then I thought, I have all this REALLY kawaii Japanese fabric, I could make some really cute ones to sell in my shop! So here are my newest fobs and also a peek at the purse set I made for my friend.

SOLD!!! Kuromi

Brunch & Lunch Sanrio Pups

I almost forgot, I am doing a swap of The Office (american version) themed items! So look for super cool Office stuff in about a week or so, I'm sure it will also make it onto craftster!! I am working mostly Dwight, Michael & Jim items, all my fave characters!

B'day presents!

So my kids are obsessed with Invader Zim, especially Gir! I LOVE it too actually! Anyway, one son asked for the robot version for his b'day, the other asked for the dog suit version. Both turned out way better than anticipated. I believe you can find the pattern on Ravelry and the pattern is by Patty Rau. I know it is a free pattern, just can't remember exactly where I got it . I still need to get a pic of the robot alone, but he sleeps with my son EVERY night, so it is hard to get one! :)

Anyway, here they are:

"BURRRIIITTTTTOOOOOOOSSSSS!!!!!!"
I had to modify the pattern a bit, I made 4 ears instead of 2 and sewed 2 together to form each separate ear. It made the ears stand up better and keep their shape.

Next we have the ever popular Amineko.

My blogging has begun

Hello friends and strangers!

I have been posting numerous times on craftster, opened an etsy shop (http://www.multibeavo.etsy/) and been lurking on numerous crafter's blogs. I figured it was time to start sharing . Plus, it is fun to share new things from Okinawa that maybe not everyone has experienced.

I will be posting all of my craft, sewing and crochet projects here for all to see. And hopefully some patterns soon. I have been bogged down lately with gifts for family and friends and haven't had much time to work on anything else, although I am involved in what I think will be a super awesome personal swap with sewnikki on craftster and I can't wait to post my finished swap items. I am very proud of them!

This blog will also include anecdotes and random blurbs from my daily life. I have much to share and hope you will visit often to see what I have been up to.

The above picture is of my newest pedicure from Cocok's here in Okinawa. I took in a picture that I printed off the web, and Yuki did a spectacular job of replicating Kuromi in miniature form.

Thanks for stopping by.
